Ingredients

Char Siu Pork
1 Pork tender loin
2 Tsp Soy Sauce
1 Tsp Brown Sugar
2 Garlic cloves, minced
1 Tsp Chinese rice wine
3 Tsp Hoisin sauce
1 tsp Chinese 5 spice
Chow Mein
1 1/2 Tsp Peanut oil
200g Fresh chow mein noodles
1 Cup Green cabbage, savoy, finely shredded
1 Carrot, julienned
1 Cup Bean sprouts
3 Spring onions, cut into 5cm pieces, keep white parts and green seperate
2 Cloves of garlic, finely chopped
1/4 cup Water
Chow Mein Sauce
2 Tsp Cornflour
2 Tsp Soy Sauce
1 1/2 Tsp Oyster sauce
2 Tsp Chinese cooking wine
2 Tsp Sugar
1/2 Tsp Sesame oil
White pepper

    Mix all the ingredients together to make a marinade, then add the pork and leave for 2-4 hours. Cook on a wire rack in a hot oven, 220c for 15 20 minuets or until cooked, rest and slice.

    Mix together cornflour and soy sauce, then mix in remaining ingredients.

    Cook the noodle.
    Heat oil in wok or large fry pan over high heat.
    Add garlic and stir fry for 10 seconds or until it starts to turn golden - don't let it burn!
    Add chicken and stir fry until the skin is white but the inside is still raw - about 45 seconds to 1 minute.

    Add the cabbage, carrot, and the white pieces of spring onions, Stir fry for 1 - 2 minutes until the cabbage is just starting to wilt and the chicken is cooked through.
    Add the noodles, Sauce and water. Stir fry for 1 minute, tossing to coat the noodles in the sauce.
    Add bean sprouts and remaining spring onions, Stir through quickly then remove from heat and serve hot.
