Ingredients

Adjust Servings:
1 Pack Danny’s Original Pita Bread / 8 original pita / 1 pack of Danny’s pita crisps
600g Back leg of lamb (cut into 2.5cm cubes)
1 Large onion (chopped)
2 tsp Ground Cumin
2 tsp Ground Coriander
2 Cardamom pods
2 Garlic Cloves (finely chopped)
2 Cloves
2 Tbsp Paprika
Salt & Pepper
1 can Chopped tomatoes
250g Cream
Olive oil

Season the lamb in a bowl with salt and pepper, set aside. In a hot pan, pour 2 tbsp of olive oil and quickly fry the lamb on a high heat until golden brown. Set aside.

Add another ¼ cup of olive oil to the pan and fry the onion until transparent. Then add the chopped garlic and add the lamb and all of the spices.

Fry for a couple of minutes, add the tomatoes, reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Partially cover the pan, allowing some of the steam to escape.

Add the cream and stir, taste and season if required. Simmer with the lid off for approximately 10 minutes until the sauce begins to thicken. A hot chilli powder can be added at this point for extra heat if desired.

Serve in a nice bowl with the slightly warmed pita bread. Use the pita bread to scoop the sauce and meat from the bowl and enjoy
