Ingredients

1 Zip lock bag
300g Beef fillet/sirloin/rump, thinly sliced
2 Tsp Soy Sauce
1 Tsp Mirin
2 Tsp Cornstarch
3 Tsp Sesame Oil
3 Inch celery stalks julienned into thin 2 long strips
1 Carrot, julienned
2 Spring onions sliced thinly, on a diagonal, into 1/2 pieces
Cooked rice
Sauce
1 tsp Crushed dried chilli flakes
2 -2 Red Chillies
1 Tsp Toasted and crushed pepper corns
1/4 tsp Chinese 5 spice
2 cloves Garlic, minced
2 Tsp Brown sugar
1 inch Fresh Ginger grated
4 Tps Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp Water
1-2 Tsp Sriracha sauce
1 Tsp Rice wine vinegar
2 tsp Hoisin sauce
1 Spring onion thinly sliced

Mix slice steak with mirin and soy sauce in a zip lock bag, massage together then add cornstarch, seal the bag and toss/massage to coat the meat.

Let meat marinate for about 10 minutes.

In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together sauce ingredients and set aside.

Slice vegetables and set aside.

Add sesame oil to wok and heat over MED-HIGH heat, add beef and sauté for about 2-3 minutes. Remove beef to a plate.

Add sliced vegetables to the hot pan and cook about 1-3 minutes, stirring often.

Pour in Szechuan sauce and cook about a minute, until slightly thickened.

Add cooked beef and turn to coat in the sauce.

Serve over rice
